2017 PENNANT CONDITIONS FOR A GRADE and A RESERVE

These conditions are specific to A Grade and A Reserve  Pennants and are to be read in conjunction with the 2017  Pennant Conditions: General Conditions applying to All Grades.

The Match Committee of the ACT Monaro District Golf Association reserves the right to alter or vary these Conditions at any time.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

Limit on an A Grade Pennant player competing in other Pennant Divisions: A player who has played at least two individual matches in A Grade Pennant during 2017 is not eligible to play in A Reserve Division in 2017. This rule may only be waived under exceptional circumstances and after application to the DGA Captain.

FINALS SERIES AND PENNANT WINNER

Semi Finals and Finals will be played at neutral venues determined by the DGA between teams comprising 7 players. In A Grade Final (only) matches will be played in pairs.

A GRADE

The top four teams at the conclusion of the preliminary rounds will play the semifinals, at neutral venues. If necessary the count back arrangements for Pennant Table will be used to determine each Club’s respective position on the  Table.

Semi-Final A: Team1 versus Team 4

Semi-Final B: Team 2 versus Team 3

The winners of the Semifinals will play in the Final. The winner of the Pennant generic revia online will be the Team that secures the greater number of Individual Match Points in the Final.

A RESERVE

Following the completion of the preliminary rounds the top 4 clubs in each Group will play in the Quarter Finals. In each Division Quarter Final A will be played between the team finishing 1st and the team finishing 4, and Quarter  Final B will be played between the team finishing 2nd and the team finishing 3rd. The higher placed team in the  respective Quarter Final (i.e. the teams finishing 1st and 2nd) will be expected to host the contest. To ensure a result the Quarter Finals will be played between teams of 7 players, with each match being played to a conclusion, unless a  result has already been achieved. The DGA will attempt to provide a neutral person to form the Match Committee for these contests.

The winners of these contests will then advance to the Semi-Finals

  • Semi-Final: Group 1 Quarter Final A winner v Group 2 Quarter Final B winner
  • Semi-Final: Group 1 Quarter Final B winner v Group 2 Quarter Final A winner.

The winners of the Semi-Finals will play in the Final. The winner of the Pennant will be the Team that secures the greater number of match point in the final.
