It was a very disappointing day for Gungahlin A Grade today. Playing on home turf with a near full strength squad, a 5/1 loss against Federal was unexpected. Gungahlin’s lone winner, Caleb Te Moananui certainly proved he deserved the number one spot with a 2 up win over young super star, Adam Thorpe. His drive, 5 iron, chip in for eagle on 8 was one of many highlights. Other notable performances included a 2/1 loss by Scott Broadhead who was recruited at the last minute to fill a vacancy due to the withdrawal of a player because of injury. Nathan Willett, staged a gutsy fightback after being 5 down with 6 to play, losing 2 down.

The young guns from Federal certainly showed how well they can play with 10 points for accuracy going to Aaron Maxwell who hit the pin on the 7th from 180 metres.
